Q: Does an adult, 21 years old and older, need to be present at delivery to sign for the wine?
A: Matthew Dempsey Wines only sells to adults over the age of 21. You must provide a signature at the time of delivery. To ensure delivery, we suggest shipping to a business address or opting for a corresponding hold location to your carrier. Wine is not delivered to PO Boxes. All carriers will attempt three deliveries before returning the package to the winery. Please Note: if your wine delivery is returned to the winery, and we have to reship it, you will be responsible for applicable return shipping and reshipment charges.

Q: When will the wine be ready to drink?
A: Drinkable upon release, our wines will benefit from a generous decanting, served at 55-60F when consumed in their first few years. Please see the specific wine in our store to view anticipated maturity window. Our wines are un-fined and un-filtered; as such, harmless sediment may precipitate from the wines at the bottom of the bottle as they age. A simple decanting will remove most sediment prior to enjoying.

A: Currently we can ship to all states in the USA with the exception of: MS & UT. We recommend shipping to a friend or relative in a neighboring state.

Q: When will my wine ship and when will I receive it?
A: Usually your wine will ship on the next Monday-Thursday from when your order was placed, depending on where the wine is being delivered to. Exceptions can occur if weather conditions are not favorable or delivery chains are disrupted. Please reply to your order confirmation if you have any shipping questions. Someone over 21 years old will need to sign for all wine deliveries.
